Chattanooga, TN (Nov. 24, 2008) -- Stroll back in time as you enjoy the Holiday in the Woods extravaganza at the Chattanooga Nature Center Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., located at 400 Garden Road in Chattanooga.

Explore Santa's tree house workshop and get your picture taken with Ole Saint Nick and his elves! Canoe Lookout Creek or take an adventure on an enchanted sleigh ride through Reflection Riding Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Visitors to Holiday in the Woods can make food for Santa's reindeer, build bird feeders, roast marshmallows and hot dogs by the fire pit, and warm up with hot chocolate.

"This is a family cozy event held in an absolutely beautiful outdoor setting just 15 minutes from Downtown Chattanooga," Tina Harvey Crawford, director of development and marketing said. "It's a great way to celebrate the Holidays while reconnecting your family with nature."

Other activities include seeing and learning about native animals during scheduled presentations, guided tours through the Wildlife Wanderland. The young at heart can learn how to dance the Jingle Bell Twist. And, local crafters will be on hand showing off their talents.
